AID TO UKRAINE - FROM ROTARY INTERNATIONAL

More than half of the 2.5 million refugees fleeing Ukraine have arrived in Poland, where Rotary members are organizing shelter, transportation, and basic necessities for the incoming refugees.

Rotary Club Olzstyn is collecting and managing donations for refugees, primarily unaccompanied children, staying at Ostróda Camp. Within a few hours, four cars full of donated items were collected-- including food, clothes, bedding, personal hygiene products, as well as some toys.

The Rotary Foundation has received thousands of donations, totaling over $1.1 million. These donations support efforts like those of Rotary Club Olsztyn as well as provide medical supplies in Ukraine and support refugees who have fled to neighboring countries. #RotaryResponds

FAMILY OF ROTARY

We don’t often announce resignations from the club in this space, but this one needs acknowledgment. What’s the best excuse for leaving our fold after 43 years of faithful, dedicated, active service?

We issue a fond farewell to Bill Gochis, who is the main caregiver now for his wife Bobbi, and is pulling back from other obligations.

Goodbye, Bill! We will be thinking of you.

For those who wish to compose a personal farewell, Bill’s contact information is: (H) 913-648-6525, (C) 913-706-3836 bgochis@earthlink.net
