When I first wanted to join Rotary many years ago, they didn't accept women. Then that changed, and I joined. Over time, the tables even became less gender-segregated. Now, I see our fabulous past-president Janee Hanzlick will be followed by Cris Smith and THEN by Jameia Haines and THEN by Laurie McCormack.
This surprising ratio in women leadership says so much about our club, about our community, about Rotary -- and even in a larger sense, about our ability to adapt to societal shifts, political upheavals. and even natural disasters.
Stay strong during this pandemic. Keep zooming to meetings, and keep in touch with your Rotary brothers -- and sisters!
Who's tired of being sedentary? Mick Lerner is working, and playing golf!. Dave Lindstrom is out and about, like around the whole state. And Emerson Hartzler is headed for the Rocky Mountains. So much for sequestering, gotta move, gotta move!
Let us know if you or a loved one is less than okay.
We can lend a hand. We can lend an ear.
Also, need someone to deliver some food or personal care items to you? We have shop and drop volunteers. If you'd rather not get out and would like a friend to run a shopping errand for you, make your wishes known: Carol 816-806-0242.
