Here comes a New Year and your resolution should be “Service Above Self in 2023!” Brad and Mike could use significant help in the ever expanding Rotary Reads and Rotary Cares programs, and could use ongoing commitments to develop these tasks: 1. Warehouse inventory management: Tracking product arrival, distribution and expiration dates. Establishing a functional spreadsheet system would be most helpful. Are you a spreadsheet king or queen? 2. Project development and management: Initiating new book and household product distribution projects as well as maintaining those in existence. Got some operational experience, anyone? 3. Communications: Keeping the club informed of upcoming projects and the need for volunteers. Updating the status and expectations of distributions to the non-profits and institutions receiving our products. Come on, you English majors! 4. Public Relations: Write articles for the Rotary Newsletter and Rotarian Magazine. Establish contact with local media outlets to facilitate spreading the word regarding the impact our service projects are having on the KC community. Who has done community outreach before? We have a task for anyone with some time and the recognition that SERVICE is what Rotary does. A little service time can go a long way. COME TO OUR FIRST SERVICE COMMITTEE MEETING, WE NEED YOU! 1 PM following the Jan 9th club luncheon.
