BOOK PROJECT IS A YUUUUUGE SUCCESS!!

HAPPY PROBLEM!
By Mike Meyer

Our first truckload of books was so well-requested that we have ordered a second truckload of books!!  To receive them, we need to get the warehouse emptied out right away. If your agency didn't get in on the first round, let them know a new list of titles is coming soon.

Volunteers are needed to organize books on Thursday afternoon for a Friday pickup. We will be working at McCray Lumber in Edwardsville. The address is 207 S. 9th Street.

We will have sign up sheets at Rotary on Monday, but please sign up today if you can help. Email me at upliftmike@gmail.com

Thursday, Nov. 10
12:00 noon-4:00 pm *Minimum 10 volunteers needed

Friday, Nov. 11
9:00 am - Noon *Minimum 6 volunteers needed
1:00 pm - 4:00 pm *Minimum 6 volunteers needed

If you know of others that are willing to come help, that would be great. The more people we have, the quicker we can get done! Please wear a Rotary shirt to volunteer if you have one. If you need one, let me or President Trish know.
TABLESIDE CAPTAIN NEEDED ASAP!
We're lacking a leader to pick up the ball
and organize tableside meals for all.
For the good of the order, please speak up TODAY
so our fall get-together can get underway!

Indoor Ride to Eradicate Polio
Sign up for NOV 19TH.  Work off holiday calories before they occur!

On Saturday, Nov. 19th, our friends at Prairie Life Fitness in Overland Park are helping us pedal, pledge, and help with our goal to help eradicate polio!  Come ride on your own, pledge a little, collect pledges from friends and colleagues, or just show up for the 5:30 cocktail party.  Either way, you'll feel better.                                                            image

The ride is free for those fundraising, unless you want to get a t-shirt and medal, then we'll guide you to an online registration form.

The indoor group rides are at 6 am, 9 am and 5:30 pm. You can also come to the gym anytime during the day! Pledges can added to your club bill by using the online pledge form, use the "write-in" option.   Give the link to your donors and ask them to reference you and the Indoor Ride to End Polio!

For more information or to sign up, contact Nancy Hannan at 913.648.8077 or nhannan@prairielife.com
