THIS WEEK'S MEETING
Overland Park Rotary
September 17, 2025 at 7:15 am

This week's Speaker is Amy Fallon, PHD
President of Regional Operations, Children's Mercy

For nearly two decades Amy Fallon, PhD, has been shaping the way health care operates—by making things work. As an engineer, she sees patterns where others see problems.

She is the steady hand behind the regional expansion of Children’s Mercy, ensuring more families can access world-class pediatric care without having to travel hours away. Amy leads the day-to-day operations for Children's Mercy Hospital Kansas and oversees strategic growth initiatives outside of Kansas City.

Amy is motivated by people and a good challenge and often finds her inspiration where these two intersect. With an undergraduate degree in engineering and a doctorate in management, she believes every problem has a solution. Whether working with teams or helping patients and families, Amy finds fulfillment in developing leaders and facilitating easier care paths for patients.

Amy was named a 2025 Kansas City Business Journal NextGen Leader, recognizing her exceptional leadership and contributions to the community. She is also actively involved in community service, serving as a Board Member for the Children's Mercy + Camber Mental Health Joint Venture, participating in the Overland Park Chamber Talent Council, and contributing to the Kansas Hospital Association’s Leadership and Governance Committee and Workforce Development Committees.

Greeters: Harold Frye & Tanner Gilliland

We have a great volunteer opportunity to raise money!

Kansas City Bier Company is presenting KC Oktoberfest at Crown Center on Oct 3rd (5-11) and 4th (11-11) and volunteers are needed to work the different stations of the event. We will be serving bier & wein at the trailer on level one by the fountain.
  • Each person earns $15/hour(tax free due to donation). This amount will be donated directly to our charity.  You can have friends and family work too.
  • Everyone gets a free T-shirt and a free ticket to give to a friend or use another day.  The ticket will be sent via email in September.
  • Click on the link below or scan the QR code, and then enter the password listed and sign up for the shift you can work.
You can sign up for more than one shift, as well as both days.
  • Sign up by September 1st so the correct sizes of T-shirts can be ordered.
  • Please sign up as soon as you can, so we can ensure we fill all the shifts available. Saturday nights are the busiest and hardest to fill-please consider filling those shifts first!
  • Once you sign up you will get a confirmation email.  If you do not see it, please look for it in junk folder and mark it safe.  You will receive more information/instructions as the event approaches, and it will come through the Volunteer Local website.
