District Conference
Save the Date!

This year’s District Conference, “Building Champions, Changing Lives”, will be held on September 22 – 24, 2022 at Lenexa City Center’s Hyatt Place!  The event will include a Thursday evening social through downtown Shawnee’s many great local breweries and restaurants, a Friday filled with fantastic programming and opportunities for networking, brainstorming, and inspiration, and a Saturday of service.

More details, registration, and sponsorship opportunities to come very soon!

TEAM TRAINING
It is once again time for TEAM Training! TEAM Training focuses on The Rotary Foundation, membership, and public image, with leadership and training as supporting areas of emphasis. This year our theme will be “Imagine Change in Your Rotary Club”.

The training will take place on Saturday, August 20, 2022, from 8:30am to 1:30pm, once again at the Cider Gallery in Lawrence, Kansas. We will provide donuts and coffee when you arrive (so we hope you will arrive a bit early to eat, drink and mingle!) and a complimentary brunch, complete with mimosas and Bloody Marys, will be served.

This annual event is open to all Rotarians at no cost, and Rotarians of twenty years or those who became Rotarians last week will all benefit! Come to meet other Rotarians, share Rotary experiences, and learn more about Rotary and our opportunities to accomplish even more by implementing change. The registration link is below and we hope to see you there!

No Birthdays or Anniversaries this week!

FAMILY OF ROTARY

While preparing for a knee replacement on the right leg, a dastardly thing happened to Chuck Gasser. He fell and broke his left femur, requiring eight days in the hospital for various bolts and rusty nails according to Chuck, and then a couple of weeks in rehab. He’s home now, working at the kitchen table and learning to be mobile with his crutches.  Dang! NOW he gets to plan for a knee replacement at the end of the year! Please have a better 2023, Chuck, and in the meantime perhaps a Rotarian can give you a lift to a meeting several months down the road, we’d love to see you!
