Why I recommend joining Overland Park Rotary: The community leaders that I have met since joining is unbelievable. Great people in every industry and people that I would have never met otherwise. We instantly have a connection because of our desire to serve our community and help others.
My Rotary Moment: I have two, while President of the Club, I received a phone call that I thought was a prank. The US Navy called and they were holding Navy week in Kansas City and wanted an Admiral in the Navy to speak at our club. We were the only Rotary club he was attending and we were chosen because of our reputation. The second was Star Spangled Spectacular, to attend the event and look around and realize we had a major part in planning and executing an event that would be enjoyed by over 70,000 Overland Park citizens in 1 night. It took all the members of the club to make it happen every year and coordination with the City, Corporate Woods, OP Police, OP Fire Department, and others.
