A "Read Across America" Event is being sponsored by The Eisenhower Foundation next week at the Eisenhower Library on March 2. The opportunity of so many books came from Feed the Children through the Overland Park Rotary and the Abilene Rotary, and the Eisenhower Foundation staff was pleased to be responsible for organizing the distribution. They will be distributing over 6,000 books to't he just the best?) 3,000 kids throughout Dickinson County, Kansas.
Roughly 100 students from St. Andrew's School will be attending the event. Students will participate in several activities to engage them in reading and in turn learning. Mary Jean Eisenhower will be reading to students, they will choose two books to take with them and they will also engage in several Dr. Seuss themed STEAM activities.
We want to thank our BOOK BUDDY, MIKE MEYER, for once again organizing a shipment. (Isn't he just the best?)
