Before you walk in the door every week, someone has helped bring in 4-Way Test sign, sign-In sheets, and AV equipments, the box of badges, etc. from the parking lot just outside the exterior door that leads from the rear parking lot. Usually that person is Will, by himself!! Will, stop that!Our NEW, IMPROVED GREETER POSITION shall now arrive at 11:15 to help with the set-up. Will generally parks in the small parking lot to the North of the meeting room (back entrance). He could use help bringing in the equipment and setting up the table with the badges and the sign-In sheets. Then, the NEW, MPROVED GREETER should also assure that each member initials the sign-In sheet so we have an accurate count for ordering and charging of meals, and when the meeting is called to order, please bring the table into the room and close the doors. Please sit near the back of the room to assure that any late-comers are welcomed and accounted for.
We are also offering a NEW, IMPROVED CLEAN-UP POSITION! That special person would Will put the equipment away and carry it back to his vehicle. The extra meals and water need to be distributed either to the staff at the center or to the Senior Meal service at Matt Ross. The distribution of the extra meals may be further clarified as we go along and the accuracy of the meal count is perfected.
THESE NEW POSITIONS CONTINUE OUR AFFECTION FOR AND SUPPORT OF high-paying, glamorous and inventive work involving shuffling boxes and getting slightly mussed. WHEN NANCY OGDEN CIRCULATES THE SIGN-UP SHEETS, JUMP ON THIS OPPORTUNITY!
THANKS TO ROTARY CARES GUYS Mike Meyer and Brad Vaughn (upstaged here by KCWolf and Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes) and others in the club for transforming pallets of boxes in a cave to hundreds of giggles and grins when local kids lined up for their very own books.
THIS WAS THE FINAL PUSH for 2021’s effort, and already Mike and Brad are figuring out next year’s challenges of location, costs, projects, alliances, and product.
