Gone, but not forgotten! Here's which members have moved on.
This year it's been more difficult to tell who's absent from our meetings since we can't just scan the meeting room. We thought you'd like to know which members felt compelled to terminate their Rotary membership in the prior operating year July 1, 2019 - June 30, 2020. Whether for job reasons, health reasons, or just a change of heart, we want to wish our former members all the best for their new paths.
Do you miss them? It never hurts to let them know. Give these old friends a call or drop them a note to say: Our door - real or virtual - is always open. Come back any time!
Gene Troehler, Don Shook, Bob Bergeson (deceased), Tom Oltjen, Garry "Mac" McComas, Jeb Graham, Rob Curtis, Mike Walrod, Marshaun Butler, Joan Wells, Bob Hite, Steve Hechler, Brad Plumb, Charlie Horner, Chuck Carlsen, Connie Jabara, Daniel Frey.
Be watching your email box for a letter from JCCB with the details...
...on how to help your neighbors this year in the time of Covid19, a time in which everyone's resources are stretched in challenging ways.
There will be several ways to help:
DONATE MONEY, of course, that's always on the list.
ATTEND A VIRTUAL EVENT, like their upcoming Breakfast event, or the Holiday of Hope fundraising event.
CONSIDER SUPPORTING THE HOLIDAY SHOP, which will bemoving out of the usual warehouse format this year to a Mobile Pickup station. There will be 5 departments in 2020: Nursing Home; Groceries: Children's Coats (age 0 to 12); Children's Toys (age 0 to 12); and Personal Care. This will enable them to keep the Volunteer Staff to under 20 people in the Shop at any one time. They will box or bag the merchandise, take it outside and put it in the client's vehicle.
These neighbors need you in the best of years. Watch for the email, and please consider stepping up your efforts a notch this year.
