No Meeting Next Week
"Mingle Monday" is next week, April 5, 2021
But you DO need to read this:
On your April-1st Rotary billing statement that you should have just received, there's going to be a request for a (voluntary) donation to the Rotary International Foundation, for (a minimum of) $100. If our Club can contribute an average of $100 per member (+/- $10,000 in total), then we will meet the requirements of being a “Star Club.” As you may recall, the Board has committed to achieving Star Club status for the current fiscal year, as did the membership (by acclamation) at the February 15th meeting. Being a Star Club makes the statement that our Club’s members are in alignment with the foundational principles of the Rotary International Foundation – which we all acknowledge to be a top tier charity. It also means that we would receive an extra $1,000 District contribution towards our District grant.
What is important to Rotarians? Clean water, disease prevention, maternal and child health, basic literacy, community development, peace and conflict resolution, and the environment. Please join in and give generously to this worthwhile purpose.
Respectfully submitted,
David Austin
AND....You miss us, don't you?
