World Polio Trip to India
Oct. 22, 2026 - Oct. 28, 2026

Members of RID 5710 will be traveling to India for World Polio Day, Oct 22 – 28.
Travel and expense details of the trip are here: https://worldpolioday.agratajmahalrotary.org/
Rotarians are welcome to join the trip, as are family and friends who are not Rotarians.

Due to the generosity of a few Rotarians who support Rotary's campaign to eradicate polio
worldwide, we also have some financial assistance available.  See attachments for details.
Volunteer teams of four Rotarians will work with local Rotary partners and health workers
to vaccinate children and also distribute small gifts provided by Agra Rotary clubs to the
children they serve.

Our District 5710 group of will be helping to immunize children in high-risk rural communities,
typically with populations under 2,000 residents.
So far, there are seven local Rotarians registered plus 2 folks from Canada. There is still room
for more folks to join.
This is a rare chance to see Rotary’s global mission in action and make a direct, measurable
impact.

Erin Cole, Women's Employment Network

Helping Women Achieve Economic Independence

Jan. 27, 2027 11:20 a.m.

Erin Cole, LMSW, is the Chief Executive Officer of Women’s Employment Network (WEN), a Kansas City nonprofit that has been helping women achieve economic independence through employment for nearly 40 years.

Erin joined WEN in 2010 and has had the unique opportunity to grow alongside the organization, beginning her career there working directly with women seeking employment and eventually stepping into the CEO role in 2026. That experience continues to shape how she leads today: with a focus on practical solutions, strong relationships, and making sure innovation never comes at the expense of human connection.

She is especially passionate about the changing world of work and how tools like AI can create new opportunities when people are given the confidence and support to use them. Erin is a 2024 graduate of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Centurions Leadership Program and was named a 2026 Kansas City Business Journal NextGen Leader. She is proud to call the Kansas City community home.
